I'm thrilled to share with you a glimpse into a truly inspiring evening that took place recently at my gallery in the heart of Austin, Texas. This exclusive event was more than just a gathering; it was a celebration of empowerment, creativity, and the incredible spirit of the women who make our city remarkable. Allow me to introduce to you our featured artist of the evening who spoke with the group to give a more in depth look at her work and process, Lisa Zinna.
Lisa is a self-taught Color Crazy Photo Artist who aspires to turn a routine snapshot into an ethereal expression of joy. She employs unexpected color palettes to create works that are inspired by nature and form to open fresh perspectives and sensations. And she does this with incredible skill and grace.
Lisa and Tamika, artist and collector!
The idea for this event stemmed from a desire to create a space where women in Austin could come together. We wanted to foster an environment where connections could flourish, and future collaborations could be born even beyond the world of art to uplift and empower women- all while supporting the talented and hardworking artists right here in ATX.
This was not just another networking event; it was an invitation to engage on a deeper, more meaningful level. As the evening unfolded, the gallery transformed into a vibrant hub of conversation, laughter, and shared stories. The walls, adorned with contemporary art, served as the perfect backdrop for the dynamic energy that filled the room. Each guest brought their unique perspective and experience, contributing to the rich tapestry of the night.
We even were lucky enough to have some of our guests bring a bit of shwag from their local women-owned businesses to enjoy and take home. Dianna Aguilar and Tanya Major are co-founders of élevé adaptogen infused sparkling water that is both good for you and can even make a great substitute for a glass of wine (which many of us opted for).
If you are a business that would like to sponsor or host a female centric event at the gallery that encourages connection, empowerment and community, I would love to chat more about providing a space to make this happen. Email me at art@julieahmad.com.
Thank you to our new collectors! The Happy Dances are absolutely so real, there is just nothing that will ever get real about when a collector decides to make one of your works a part of their collection! It's so exciting! Cheers to more happy dances and celebrating the arts!
I encourage all my ladies to further create connections and to keep the momentum going with coffees and lunch dates to follow. We are stronger together and I can't wait to see all that can be birthed from these events!
