From Orphan To Heir
"From Orphan to Heir" is a 40"x60" mixed media piece that is near and dear to my heart. I created this with my heart fully open and I'm happy to pass this on to another who feels the calling with in them. $500 from this sale will be donated to Fostering Hope Austin, a non-profit that my daughter and I volunteer with often by offering childcare services to those who have children with in the system. We would like to raise awareness about volunteering on several capacities and all the wonderful work this orgnization does for children.
The mane is made from a soft throw blanket that I absolutely love and took me over two weeks to sew with the canvas being so large. You will also find specs of gold foiling in the eye of both the Papa lion and one of the cubs. This piece is meant to be passed down and loved generation after generation. Enjoy!
